Seven Democrats continue to push for Affordable Care Act reform by introducing a new bill, entitled the Expanded Consumer Choice Act, which introduces copper plans, reports Vox. Alaska Senate Democrat Mark Begich hopes to use this bill in the upcoming election to prove that he wants to fix the healthcare reform law. The bill goes into depth about the copper plan, which would be skimpier and more affordable than plans offered today.The copper plans would cover 50 percent of health costs and officials estimate that the premiums would be 18 percent lower than bronze plan premiums.
