Report: Seniors want independence following treatment

Tools

Seventy-six percent of Americans aged 65 and older believe independence is the most important health outcome following treatment, according to a recent report from the Alliance of Community Health Plans. ACHP noted that this targeted population has needs that extend beyond the traditional sense of clinical care. ACHP member plans are working to support seniors where they most feel comfortable--whether that be at home or an assisted living environment--while also keeping seniors out of the hospital so they can maintain some level of independence.
