Towers Watson buys private exchange for $435M


Professional services company Towers Watson is acquiring Extend Health, the largest private Medicare exchange, for $435 million, reported Insurance & Financial Advisor. "We believe that this combination of two market leaders will provide innovative, best-in-class healthcare solutions that combine specialized retiree medical transition consulting with the choice and cost advantages of individual Medicare plans purchased on a private exchange," Towers Watson said in a statement.
